David's Family Gravy (The way Dad showed me)

INGREDIENTS:
Some Oil:
I.E. Bacon Grease is best, and or Sausage Grease with a little butter
Flour
Milk
Salt and pepper
DIRT

You have to make a Rue, thats right, the old fashion way.
Dad said you make the grease hot, and add enough flour to look like 'wet sand' at the beach.
This truely is the key here folks, as you'll have lumps to beat out, if you let them form by adding too much flour.
You want it to mix up well with a little bubbling while constantly stiring.
You don't want to Burn your Rue. You just want to put some Carbon on it.
Toast the Rue until its brown. This Cooks the Flour taste out and the Carbon taste in.
Add Milk, and stir. It'll thicken.
Season to Taste with Salt, Pepper, and DIRT.
Mom would some times put sausage in the gravy. Mm thats good too.
Serve on David's Home Made Melt in your mouth Biscuts
With a side of David's Scambled Egglets

Enjoy
